After all, you wouldn’t know how great those clothes in the store would look on you unless you tried them on. It’s the same with your smile! In just 15-10 minutes, Dr. Bromboz can apply a small amount of temporary material to your teeth and you can see immediately in the mirror how great your new smile will look. Silver (Mercury) Filling Removal

Silver fillings are called amalgams and contain mercury. We follow Dr. Hal Huggins' protocol for removing amalgam fillings, if a patient has been found to be mercury-toxic. Some of the precautions we take:

  • A rubber dam (a sheet of rubber) to isolate the other teeth and to prevent the amalgam from going down the patient's throat.
  • A super strong dry suction to ensure vapors are eliminated and exit the building.
  • Charcoal to absorb the amalgam dust.
  • A test is done ahead of time to determine the proper order to replace the fillings.

We always ask that the patient return to their healthcare professional, after the amalgam fillings are replaced, and to follow their Doctor’s instructions in order to detox the mercury.

Holistic Dentistry

Holistic Dentistry is basically a philosophy that your mouth is connected to the rest of your body and the materials used in dentistry and the infections and bacteria that grow in the mouth can adversely affect the rest of the body.

Some patients are allergic to different dental materials. If that is a concern, patients can be tested for their compatibility with various dental materials.

We are mercury free and only use the white fillings. We use non-metal materials in most cases. No fluoride.

In treating the patient holistically, we may see that an infected tooth affects a specific organ in the body per the tooth/body chart. We can then inform the patient’s doctor. If no other cause can be found for a patient's health problem, some doctors will consult the Tooth/Body chart and let us know which organ is giving the patient trouble. We can then xray the tooth and see if there is any infection. `

A link has been discovered between periodontal disease and heart attacks and other heart illnesses. People with Periodontal disease (over half the adult population) have a bacterial infection that causes chronic inflammation of the gums. This infection opens a pathway for this bacteria to enter the bloodstream. Studies indicate that the bacteria in periodontal disease may cause blood clots. When blood clots escape in the bloodstream, there is a relation to increased risk of heart attacks and other heart illnesses.

We treat periodontal (gum) disease very conservatively with breakthrough methods that are helping 100’s of patients improve the condition and avoid life threatening problems as well as not losing their teeth. When the bacteria eat away the gums and the bone, which is only visible on x-rays, then the teeth lose their support and fall out. Gum disease is the major cause of tooth loss. Non-Surgical Gum Disease Treatment

There are several signs of gum disease (periodontal disease):

  • Gums bleed when you brush (this is not normal).
  • Gums are red, swollen or tender
  • Gums are pulled away from the teeth
  • Teeth are loose or there are spaces between your teeth.
  • Persistent bad breath or odor

What is Gum Disease?
Gum disease is a condition where there is active infection from bacteria growing on your teeth and the bacteria are eating away at the gums and eventually the bone. The gums and bone hold the teeth in place, so when you lose gum and bone, the tooth loses its support and falls out.

In order for you to understand that gum disease is a bacterial infection, we take a microscope slide of the bacteria under your gums and show you the live bacteria under the microscope.

If you are found to have gum disease, what is required is to have a special "Detoxification of the teeth" that cleans out the hardened and softer bacteria from below the gums. There is a new advance in dentistry called Oraquix. This is a numbing gel that is placed below the gums so it is a comfortable procedure and doesn’t require an injection in almost every case.

Then, to maintain a clean environment under the gums we custom make “Perio Protect Trays”™. These are clear trays inside which medication is placed. These trays are designed so that they form a seal to hold the disinfectant against the gum “pockets” and keep the medication from being flushed out. This is a major breakthrough because the problem has been keeping the medication from being flushed out and also being able to apply it often enough. The “Perio Trays”™ have solved this problem in that they hold the disinfectant in place and you keep the trays and continue to apply the disinfectant treatment as many times a day as needed.

Did you know that the shape of your teeth hold the form of your face? Look at older people who aren’t wearing their false teeth and notice how their whole face falls in. Many times people’s smiles have worn down over the years and this collapses their face. We can design your smile so it fills out your cheeks and chin and neck. This is called a Smile Lift. We give you a beautiful smile which results in a face lift at the same time just by virtue of the way the teeth are formed!

Whitening & Deep Bleaching

There are a number of approaches to whitening the teeth:

Over the counter bleach is not as strong a concentration as the professional whitening materials used in the dental office.

Liquid Smile is a paint-on Professional strength whitening material that is better than over the counter but washes off easily due to saliva flow.

Professional Take home whitening trays. These trays are made in the dental office and are clear and fit over your teeth. You wear them 30 minutes to 1 hour daily for 2 weeks and your teeth get whiter.

1 Hour In Office Whitening – like Zoom™ – made famous on Extreme Makeover. Extremely strong whitening material is placed on your teeth in the office.

DEEP BLEACHING™ - This is an all new technique getting results on even the most resistant color teeth. Dr. Bromboz has found the DEEP BLEACHING™Technique guarantees dazzling whiter teeth. Don’t whiten your teeth until you read on. The 1 hour whitening does not always work or fades immediately UNLESS combined in an exact way with other techniques. DEEP BLEACHING™ is a new way of combining a new special type of at-home bleach trays and 2 visits of 1 hour whitening, plus other important refinements in technique. If you are serious about having white white teeth DEEP BLEACHING™ is for you. It is a whole process of conditioning and readying the teeth to accept the oxygen molecules that help whiten the teeth. The results are phenomenal. If you haven’t been happy with the results of your whitening you will find the new Deep Bleaching Technique blows all others away. Rather than try to explain something so effective and the amazing results, you should stop by to see our portfolio of before and after photos.

Advanced Technology

Digital X-rays – X-rays are needed to diagnose dental disease. They are also used to see if you have any bone loss that would threaten the support of your teeth. They are an important tool to ensure you keep you teeth for life. Digital x-rays have less radiation than regular x-rays. At all new patient examination appointments we do digital x-rays.

Air-powder spray – On some fillings we don’t have to get you numb or even use a drill. We can air powder spray the decay away.

Laser cavity detector – The Diagnodent uses a laser beam to determine where there is decay and many cavities have been picked up with this device that were not found on x-rays. When the tooth was filled there was definite decay there not visible on the x-ray.

Computerized Bite Analysis - These advanced, state of the art diagnostic devices determine if you have adverse muscle activity in areas that can cause head, neck or facial pain). This diagnostic equipment is also used when restoring many teeth at once to ensure the bite is correct and comfortable.

Healthy Dental Products

In an effort to make available the best, most healthy dental products, we provide a range of items at the office for your convenience.

Dental Herb Co. Toothpaste is an all-herbal toothpaste without fluoride. Also, Under the Gum Irrigant is all-herbal for use in the water pik.

Spry Products containing Xylitol – Tooth paste, gum, mints, mouth rinse, sweetner packets.

What is Xylitol – Xylitol is a natural sweetner made from Birch trees and other fruits and vegetables. It’s molecule is similar to sugar but it is different enough that the bacteria in your mouth eat it thinking it is sugar but because they can’t assimilate that shape of molecule they starve to death. So you kill the bacteria that causes cavities and gum disease. Getting children started on it while they still have baby teeth has been shown to entirely prevent decay.

Hydrofloss – An Oral Irrigator. This is for you to use at home to flush under the gums after brushing and flossing. This is a sturdy machine that holds up a long time per our patients.
